Bioware is good , but they have a tendancy to write peoples with....how to say , flaws that stand out way too much . At least , to my taste it just make them more dysfunctional . Its not a bad thing , but they repeated the same thing over time , and now I can clearly see it .
Complicated with depth characters , aren't and isn't the same things as dysfunctional . And that's something that BW doesn't seem to get .
I only play Good guys , well at least in Kotor 1 and 2 . In Swtor I'm able to play a Dark side character but only as a Sorc . When I tried playing as a dark side agent , man..I was sick to my stomach . And I don't play evil characters in any game . It does seem boring , but I rather play something that make me feel good..then play something new but make me feel sick .
Kreia had some dialogues that punch you to the gut . Like when she describe how it feel to lose the force . It was as if the force it self stopped moving trough the galaxy to listen to how she would describe the loss of it .
She was an amazing character , and I'm sad that these kind of characters are so rare .
Exactly! its a game that screw with your head , and make you question yourself . Was it right ? Do I follow what I was taught ? Do I listen to her ? which way is right ? and why does it feel like I did something wrong ?
On the gender replyability , I played as a male and a female . And the only dissapointement I have was that I couldn't romance Visas as a female . Especially after they decided to make the exile canon as a female . I usually don't like when they do that . Like 'Hey! guess what? Revan? its a dude!'' . I like and wish they would leave the gender of the main character up to the players . After all , players are the one who decided and play the story . Why do you have to make it known its a dude or a women ? Some peoples play both genders , some play their own only . Leave it , it doesn't harm anyone to leave it like that .
I did appreciate the option I get to choose revan gender during the Story . That was a nice thing .
I like vilains , that are more smart . I like when a vilain is a step ahead of you , is capable of reaching his goal and is cunning . I don't care how Large a vilain is , usually those come off as stupid . And I can respect a vilain that won't change his way . But when a Vilain start blaming the player for this or that...Sorry , any respect or sense of wonder or even interest I had to chasing said vilain , just go bye bye . A good exemple , is Cornyphallus from DAI . He was supposed to be a terror , he had so much potentiel and he was downgraded to a lame vilain . And the nail in the coffin was in the end where he start begging his God . That just make it even worse . Own up to what you tried to do , at least you have some dignity left in the end .
There are only a few vilains that left me with a 'Damn ! I never forget taking that X final boss in the end'' . And I don't mean just how hard they are (cose from BW perspective , I have no idea what they are trying to do . But I noticed they are inserting cut-scene in the final battle . Thats just awful! Let me KILL the vilain , then you can give me a cutscene . It's lame! It's robbing players from that final....vengence , retributions , justice..watever . And it's unnacceptable ) .
