Luckily my bosses are all nice guys. I could easily talk stuff with the CEO and use informal language (i.e. no need to "teititellä"). It's quite nice atmosphere - like all are on same level. Also they do want their employees to be happy to work there.

Sometimes I get the feeling they'd rather see people leave, so they could hire someone cheaper.
Well, technically it's all pretty informal too where I work. Things used to be reasonably fine until they hired a new supervisor, who managed to rip apart the solidarity within the whole department. Instead of working together to reach the same goals it has now come to: - daytime staff vs shift people - daytime staff vs daytime staff (where some people are singling out others in daytime staff by bullying them) - shift vs shift (always having to clean up the mess after the shift before you is no fun) - people in shifts not working well together because of conflicting personalities.
A good manager would do something about this instead of tollerating or even instigating all of the above. It's pretty sad to see the situation deteriorate.
I hope not, but having one person ruin the whole atmosphere could happen anywhere in my opinion.
It could, though, that would go against out company's atmosphere and I doubt someone like that would actually keep his/hers job. Don't you guys have workplace steward/workplace health and safety representative (or whatever is työsuojeluvaltuutettu in English) who you could talk about the situation confidentially?
