Rumours about FO76 being an online survival RPG. I think I'm done with the FO series... Maybe another PUBG clone... or something similar. Not interested. Also FO setting in general is a bit meh.
Looks like EA is starting to Anthem hype...
Started Tales of Berseria. Story seems interesting - it's definitely a story heavy game. Basically it's about betrayal and revenge.
^^You are playing this character, Velvet.

You can never have enough betrayal and revenge...
Looks pretty cool though.
I've been cleaning up stuff. Got rid of 3 old laptops, but not before taking out the old hard drives. So now I'm going through all the stuff that was on them. Some really old games that no longer run on this PC too lol

Velvet is cynical as heck. Can't really blame her though... In any case, she's not your typical paragon commander Shepard. I have quite a bit of old junk that I should get rid of. Like AMD Athlon XP 2800+ based rig laying around. AMD Athlon 64 4000+ rig too and some more recent crap. My own laptop is a piece of junk - barely usable. Should probably replace it at some point...

Hmmm... I can't imagine that long hair being very practical? And now she'll probably be mad at me for saying that lol
I had this old 12" netbook which I used to take with me on holidays. Nothing fancy, but it had a 500 GB hard drive, so it was perfect to make a backup of the photos I took. Sadly after 10 years it started having startup issues. Been looking to replace it, but there's nothing in a reasonable price range that does have a fair amount of storage. It's all Flash (hardly any storage) or SSD (more storage, but frigging expensive.)

She probably would, actually. There has been talks about her outfits practicality too. It's slightly better that the rags after imprisonment. By the way, instead of saving the world she is basically going after the "saviour". It's a bit complicated thing... Make a sacrifice to save others. Ironically she pondered wether or not it was right to kill some animals because she needed some stuff to make her brother get better. But when her brother gets sacrified to (apparently) prevent something bad from happening... In any case though, things are unclear at the moment.
I wonder if ARM based W10 laptops will gain some traction next year. It would be rather interesting plaything...

Well, that would be a first for me: managing to upset a fictional character. I think I deserve a badge or medal lol I have no idea. Probably cost an ARM and a leg Personally I don't see the advantage in them yet?
I'm considering buying a 10" Asus Zenpad tablet for photo backup purposes when travelling. Not much storage space on it either, but they're cheaper than a small laptop and the price for a 256GB microSD card has come down significantly recently. A lot of rumours about a remastered version of Fallout 3. I think I'd give that a try. Of course I could try and hook up the ol' xbox, but I dread getting killed by a big cat as soon as I step out that Vault again, because of that crappy controller Sadly the people who worked on a version of FO3 in the FO4 engine quit the project. It did look really awesome.

At the moment there's more disadvantages. But from my developer point of view full windows on ARM is interesting. Next year could be interesting once more powerful PC specific ARM SoCs come out.
Wouldn't external HDD, USB stick or card reader just do the job just fine? I could hook USB hub to my Honor 8 and plug in whatever I want and copy stuff between them.

Nah. Having the laptop was nice. I could already make a selection of which photo's weren't worth keeping during those lost moments.
And I'd share some on FB so that the folks back home didn't have to worry about me so much I'd also backup other people's photos for them, which saved us when my mom lost her camera during our trip to Canada. Thankfully I backed up her photos the night before she lost it, so not all the photos were lost. Also when you need to look something up regarding your trip a laptop is much more convenient than a smartphone. I realise the tablet doesn't have the same functionality as the laptop, but for me it's the next best thing.

Tablets (that run Android or iOS) are dead to me - those are no better than phones. 2-in-1 Windows 10 hybrids are much more useful.
When I'm on trip, I wouldn't carry a laptop with me so checking things with it wouldn't be possible while on the go. The main point is usually navigation. That would be a pain with a laptop (assuming that it even has a GPS).

Like I said: it's mainly for backup purposes for photos. But it's also nice to look stuff up regarding the trip. And I don't mean using it for navigation. I've a navigation system for that. But more like things restaurants in the area or places to visit (in case you need to come up with an alternative plan when something you had planned won't work out.
There's always a spare moment to do these things. Like right before bedtime or when you're waiting for your friend to get ready to go out.
Sure 2-in-1 windows 10 hybrids are useful. But the cheapest one with at least 128GB disk space and a decent reputation is around €500. I just don't want to fork out that much money anymore when there's a cheaper alternative.

Especially when something I planned didn't work out - in that case I wouldn't have laptop with me. By the way, I think BioWare shows more Anthem tomorrow.

Heh my phone wouldn't even have been able to store all the photos from my Canada trip. I can't say I'm really curious about what BW will show. Probably more: "Oh look what you and your friends will be able to do in this game! Screw you, single people!" blah blah

Well, I have 64GB MircoSD card on top of internal memory. It takes a while to fill that... Though, my music collection takes quite a bit of space. I'm still interested. I seriously doubt that it's just multiplayer game. SWTOR is an MMO but I'd say it's the best single player MMO out there (really, you can completely disregard other players and play it solo). Still, would have been nicer if they would have made proper single player sequel to KOTOR series. Tales of Berseria is quite nice I must say. If I wouldn't keep Black Desert Online on tray while training horses, my GPU would stay in passive mode all the time. It would run just fine on a phone (this isn't that old game actually, but the fact that there's a PS3 version shows). However, they have managed to get some nice subtle animation things in the cinematics. Lots of companion talks and story heavy - I like it this way. Game doesn't have to be new nor have cutting edge graphics to make cinematics stand out. Freelancer is one good example. I think it's ahead of, say, Mass Effect: Andromeda in overall quality. Of course, superior acting helps... *Ian Ziering & Jennifer Hale*

My phone only holds 32GB internal memory and it's not expandable. Takes me about 6 days to fill half of that lol Hmmm... Some older games, if they are even playable, are not so easy on the eyes anymore. Also I still happen to like Andromeda and therefore I'm still pretty pissed off about them axing it
EDIT: So apparently JJ Abrams and his production company are now delving into the game development business. Wonder if that's going to bring forth some interesting games. I've been a fan of quite a few tv shows he has created.

Earlier this year I bought 2TB SSD - finally could get rid of two really old Samsung 1TB HDDs. Also... Just realised that 256GB microSD card costs only 84,90 € from Amazon.de. Might consider buying one... Probably will buy one actually.
Some new games have rather glaring visual issues though.... So "easy on the eyes" is rather relative.
Maybe he's trying to make lens flares cool in games again.
