Second trip to the pet groomer yesterday and I took both of the cats. It took a bit of physical force to get Shona in the pet carrier, but Shep pretty much got inside the carrier as soon as I put it on the floor Last time he was trying to claw his way out once I shut the little gate, but none of that this time! Shona was the only cat I heard during the car trip over to the groomer, which is funny, because I rarely hear her meow. When I arrived another customer with a really nice looking maine coone was just leaving and she remarked: "More cats! Are Tuesdays reserved for cats?" But no, it was just coincidence. Anyway, Shona has had her grooming session too now and it went pretty well. According to the pet groomer she was quite stressed though, but who knows, maybe next time it will be better Shep seemed a lot less stressed this time when he got his little touch-up. He wasn't trying to get away unlike last time. Definitely will be going back there in the future.

I guess Shona will maybe get used to it And according to my experience it is not easy to get two cats to listen. As I had two cats Jerry was a good listener, but a little clever beast. Tom was always like - *did you speak to me ?* type - but the sweeter cuddly one of the two.

Heh! Shona will just have to get used to it! I think the grooming sessions have helped a lot though and the touch-up Shep got also makes a difference. Will see how it goes and maybe go back in about 6 months or so. Saw there's a new BilliSpeaks video out today. Apparently Billi also has a button for "training". In this video you can Billi "shake paws" with her mom. It's funny, though. It's been really easy to teach Shep how to "shake paws". Shona is still so shy! Not always, because there are many times when she comes to me and wants me to pet her. And sometimes she even grabs my arm if I move it away. But when I try to reach for her paw she either moves away or starts head-bumping me lol Another possibility, of course, would be that she thinks she's just too good for this "shaking hands" with her personnel or getting petted! 🤣 She does seem like a little "diva" at times. Btw last week she actually managed to get on top of the bookcase in my living room. Found out because when I got home from my late shift I found something that was on top of the bookcase in pieces on the floor There could only be one culprit, because Shep is still not much of a jumper So, while I was picking up the pieces of the item that was broken Shona demonstrated how she got on top of the bookcase. She jumped on the TV cabinet first and from there it's a 1.5 m jump to the top of the bookcase lol
Anyway, need to rearrange some of the stuff on top of the bookcase. She has been jumping on top of it multiple times now. When I see her doing it I usually tell her off and she comes back down, but there's proof she does that too while I'm away from home lol.
Still, I can't be mad at her lol
