Somewhat not sure about the art style. In a certain way doesn't look quite as impressive as AC:O or doesn't quite give same impression. Feels somewhat less polished. Not sure why.

Well, there were different people working on it. Also different environments compared to AC:O. Different plantlife/trees/buildings etc. I don't think it looks bad, but having played AC:O a lot I'm more inclined to say that I prefer AC:O's art style too. ArtStation has put up some more concept art: link.

The Dutch version of the MSI website is giving away a game key for AC Valhalla when buying one of their selected products.

They do so here too. Just unfortunately bought my mobo a bit too early... since I've yet to receive the CPU (which luckily happens this this week though).

*fingers crossed* Colleague of mine bought AC Odyssey because of the Black Friday discount. Seems to be enjoying it so far at least and I'm kind of impressed because he's playing as Kassandra

In other news: There's an Assassin's Creed live stream today (December 11) with several of the voice actors. Including Melissanthi Mahut and Michael Antonakos. The Q&A live stream is free and starts at 6 pm ET. (midnight CET). Only have to register for it with an e-mail address. It's also possible to get some (mini) posters/photos signed (at a cost of course). I couldn't help myself and ordered this mini poster signed by Melissanthi. Sadly it's not possible to get it signed by both Melissanthi and Michael. There was an option to buy signed prints during the Mass Effect cast reunion on November 7 and there it was at least possible to order a print signed by Jennifer Hale and pre-signed by Ali Hillis. More info on the AC live stream: GalaxyCon LiveThese live streams seem to be a thing these days. And I think it's a really nice thing, because there are probably plenty of people who would love to go to these kind of events, but can't because it's too far away for them.

Well... this has gotta be one of the most unflattering screenshots of Eivor

It's a really odd shot. Wanted to use photomode to take a screenshot, because the scene looked really nice. The bridge, river, sky blah blah blah and Eivor and Randvi on horseback off to deal with some bandits. And then I noticed Eivor's nose lol Haven't encountered many bugs so far though. The most annoying thing is that the Ubisoft Connect service, when alt-tabbing out of the game, crashes maybe 8 times out of 10. And because of losing the connection that means you have to restart the game as well. Had the actual game crash on me once after assassinating a target. Reloaded and tried again and I could continue. Encountered another bug last night. Nothing game-breaking at least, but whenever I load a save Eivor now starts off being drunk Apparently this has something to do with the yuletide content that was released last week. Solutions are to either wait it out, fast travel or meditate.
As far as other things are concerned...
Still wish it was possible to have the option of knocking out enemies instead of assassinating them (like in AC Odyssey). Just to make the game a little less violent I suppose. I know the Vikings weren't sweethearts, but surely there'd be some who still had a conscience? Especially when after some of the boss fights I encountered so far Eivor can choose to let someone live or die. Killing everyone in the way to get to a target doesn't make much sense then. Does it? Only implementing the option between assassinating or knocking down enemies might make some more people interested in playing this game as well? *looks at ladyaly*

Maybe, but still rather a NO. What I see and read it is not the kind of game I would enjoy.

Progress is still slow. 62% played now. Too many distractions (mostly the kittens heh)
Haven't come across any game breaking bugs so far at least. Only nuisance is that Ubisoft Connect sometimes crashes if I ALT-TAB out of the game. Oh and occasionally in some cutscenes a character is talking, but their lips aren't moving O_o
Btw you can now claim Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China for free on Ubisoft Connect. I doubt I'll find the time to play it, but claimed it nonetheless.

The update for AC Valhalla was installed today. Ended up uninstalling a couple of games to make space

75% completed. It's progress Not AC Valhalla related, but AC Odyssey related: Received an e-mail today that Melissanthi Mahut sent the mini poster I ordered, which she signed, back to the company that handles things, so I suppose it will be on its way here at some point Btw funny detail: I live about 10 km away from a village called Melissant... This village is actually nicknamed the goat village... Melissanthi... Kassandra... Kephallonia... something with a goat and the eye of the cyclops... How funny is that?
