If the player character was really reprimanded for something shouldn't he be cleaning the floor with a toothbrush instead of a mop?

The hair is starting to look really nice. "Forrest and Mark working on Hair Simulation Prototyping" -Sandi Gardiner's Twitter. So, it will move.

Moving hair huh... Does that mean that longer hair can get in the way and block your sight in the middle of a fight? And then pressing the B key will brush that annoying strand of hair out of your sight and the F key is for flipping it But seriously, that does look really good

It looks like they got rather solid hair tech. Definitely should be good enough! This week's AtV was about secondary viewport and how it's used for comm calls and holographs etc. It also had some SQ42 stuff in it. So, now we know some full names. Lt. Cara Webster and Julian Wexler. So he's not military... Shubin Interstellar guy.

Nice to see some more characters surface. Funnier to speculate who plays/voices them. Some (educated) guesses for the characters and the actors playing them: Julian Wexler: Richard BrakeLt. Cara Webster: Gemma "Pathfinder Raeka" Whelan? It's not easy to tell. I'm pretty sure that the character in the hair picture earlier is played by Polly Eachus

Thus the image quality is pretty bad so lots of detail is lost. Julian Wexler is Ben Mendelsohn (confirmed in the AtV). Liam Cunningham (Captain Noah White) was talking to him (that we have known for quite some time). Lt. Cara Webster... I'm pretty sure (99,5%) that she's Sophie Wu. That hair test female could very well be Polly Eachus.

Ha Ben Mendelsohn's profile was the one I didn't check. I could easily picture Richard Brake though. He comes quite close in some photos. Maybe Wexler has a stunt double Hadn't checked Sophie Wu's profile either, since I figured the character missed something Asian?

Would suit him pretty well. He could have been Cal Mason but that's Jack Huston... Sophie Wu... While mixed she looks less Asian than many native Finns. So, I'm not exactly surprised xD. To me she look more British (or Scottish to be precise - she's 50/50 Scottish/Chinese) than Chinese. Especially if you ignore eye and hair colour.

This week should be interesting... thanks to Gamescom. We might see some new stuff this Friday. Also it looks like people can test 3.0 patch there. Gotta say... I never thought that reworked Cutlass would look this sexy. No more handling issues either.

I haven't even updated to 3.0 oops... Maybe I should, but then I'm only really interested in SQ42 and I feel a bit icky about multiplayer things.
Tup probably knows all about it though.

Has anyone here played 3.0? I've tested it briefly. I landed on Daymar and I must say that it was rather epic feeling. It's ice to see what's actually possible now and the pieces & tech are coming together. It's still mainly crash related bug hunting and the UI and many aspects need polish. Game mechanics too but that's something you do when the tech gets solid. Atthe moment it loves SSDs since the streaming tech is not optimised yet. I try properly again when my 2TB SSD arrives to replace my 2xSamsung 1TB HDDs. It's good thing that they updated the launcher. They can now do delta patches. The old game and launcher must be removed though but from now on patching is quicker.

Thanks. I wondered if anyone else was playing it. I started playing 3.0 a week ago and got saddled with every bug imaginable, but Alpha, y'know. Still, finally got settled into cargo hauling, which I found to be a lot of fun. Found a site that offered commodities information starcitizen.danielaburke.com/Trading and go there every morning then make a run. There's speculation that the first episode of Squadron42 will come in 2018 as well as the female playable character.

Cargo hauling... Brings back some Freelancer memories and hauling some banned artifacts while going through every possible jump hole that didn't have police partols around. It was tricky in Liberty systems...
I was stupid enough to test what happens when you eject in Origin 325A while being landed on a planet. xD Flying is difficult without the seat. I guess I need to find deep enough gorge/canyon to jump into...
It does look like they are making rather solid progress with SQ42 - looking forward to this month's update.
