can't be the reapers . The cluster of Andromeda would be empty if it was them , and any sign of civilizations would've been wiped out . And we got there , there were plenty of signs of those who made the damn Vault as well as the Kett . And both seemed like they have been around for a very long time , and maybe there is even a hint of an unknown enemy that was old too . So can't be the reapers . They made the sensors , I doubt it was to track the reapers in dark space . Since hello...we dont even know if 'Dark space' is in the direction of andromeda lol ...I always though it be the opposite direction where there would be..nothing . They couldve been looking toward Andromeda for many reasons . Maybe migrate (Geth arent bound by time like organic , so a voyage of 900 years is nothing for them ) , add to that..The milky way sucked for them . Wanting to look beyond the border isn't a crazy plan . They couldve also been looking toward andromeda out of curiousity , maybe they were scanning and detected something that forced them to create something big enough to see what it was . So who know.... Personally , if the Geth made the sensore..I like to think they did it to find a better home , but a better idea would be to find if there was any others machines like them outside of the milky way . There were machines specie in the past but as Javik said , they didnt survive and were controlled by the reapers . I mean , organic always wonder if there is another life form outta there . I like to think the Geth would too . I know it wasn't the reapers. Still seems odd that they only concentrated on the Milky Way... Anyway, I am still not convinced why the geth would have been particularly interested in the Andromeda galaxy. And it also wasn't mentioned that they were looking at Andromeda specifically. Suvi also mentions they were isolationists, which is emphasized again by the fact that they geth never left the Perseus Veil. At least until a faction of them started worshipping the reapers. We know the reapers reside in dark space (which is all the space between galaxies). Wouldn't it make sense for the geth who worshipped the reapers to try and look for them? Though it'd be looking for a needle in a haystack. Also the non-reaper worshipping geth had other goals. They were in the process of building a megastructure that could house every existent geth program, so they had no reason to look into going to Andromeda.

I think the reapers concentrated on the Milky way because it was where they were born . The Leviathan had a God complex and believed the Milky way its empire . Once they were harvested , Harbinger gained all the skills (indoctrination) and bad side (arrogant and houlier then thou ) of Leviathan .
The Milky way was populated and they had no reason to go anywhere else , add to that...if its true that Harbinger was focused on finding a solution to organic vs machine dilema , the idea of going elsewhere would mean he had a free will of his own . If he did , he would've ditched his primary goal . It could be also , it was part of his programming and thats what stopped him from going anywhere . Leviathan did tell him ''fix this mess right here and now , and don't go far'' lol .
Even the Leviathan..didn't go far . So who know...could be cose they didn't care and wanted the Milky way badly or couldn't .
I dunno about the Geth who worshipped the reaper . I mean , werent they enslaved or choose enslavement because they had no choice or not because they were in love with them ?

The heretics worshipped the reapers because they saw them as the pinnacle of "evolution".
So if the reapers only concentrated on the Milky Way then it seems reasonable to assume that the heretics wouldn't be interested in going anywhere else either.

Arent those the Geth we destroy during Legion quest in ME2 ? did some of them survive ?
I though ya mean the Geth that had no choice in ME3 and sided with the reapers .
Yeah , but the reaper still went to 'Dark space' ...so make ya wonder why would they do that ? I mean , sure they dont want the next new born gonna be harvested organic to see them floating around . But at the same time , ya know...'Dark space' shouldn't be that far . Maybe they had a base of some kind where they recharged ? and thats what the Geth heretic were looking for ?
If the geth heretic only found something like that and no reaper , that would be a win . They have time on their side and they could study it and interact with anything thats left to upgrade themself .
Just think about it , as soon as that 1st reaper died in ME1 apparently they started their travel and they arrived in ME3 . So thats like 3 years .
I find it weird that those who were a bigger zealot , the Hanar..never done anything like this toward the prothean . I mean sure , the reaper did a nice clean up , but ya would think they would be the top dogs . If they actually did something beside pray all day long , most of those beacons wouldve made them the strongest specie if they found them first .

I guess the heretics were mostly wiped out/reprogrammed (depending on which choice Shepard made at the heretic station in ME2) According to the ME timeline that would have been in 2185 which is also the year when the Nexus and Arks left. According to the prothean VI on Ilos the reapers need to go into hibernation to conserve energy and being in this state makes them vulnerable. They hide out in dark space because it would be very hard to discover them there, while they are in that state. EDIT: The reapers also know that hanar are just big stupid jellyfish, why would they bother with them?

lol Couldn't find any thresher maws to sign up for that reaper dating site. Maybe those thresher maws were interested in Andromeda. Those remnant architects look a lot like them

Speaking of those giant Mettalic bugs , doesnt that make you suspicious ? that maybe the remnant were.....machine?
I mean look at their greater achievement that we steal . A planet thats isn't organic in any way form or shape . Then you have all those bots that guard every monolith and Vault . And when ya turn it on...the damn vaccumer anti-thefth is dangerous to organic only .
And they were making Templates of Angara.....
repopulating worlds . If they were organics themself...why do that ? the only reason an organic specie would do such a thing is either a) they were dying themself , b) they are machine themself and need organic to complete the flow of their experiment , c) they were organic and have a god complex , albeit their intent seemed good (populating and making habitable worlds all point to good intentions , but lets not forget the saying '' the path of evil is paved with good intentions'' ) .
The only thing that annoyed me to no end about the remnant is the whole deja-vus..they were basicly Prothean like but on a bigger scale . well ok they were different...but It just..the whole green . Let just say I was expeting better from a new galaxy...
And ''that thing is a weather scrubber''..that was such a let dowwwwwwwwwn........

I'm guessing the jardaan, who created the remnant were/are an organic species? The fact that they created Meridian shows that they're far more advanced than the Milky Way species are.
What's interesting is that the geth's ultimate goal was to create a megastructure that was similar to Meridian.
As to why the jardaan created the vaults? Maybe it was a preservation effort? Maybe the angarans were an endangered species and the jardaan created a system to make planets habitable, cloned the angarans and seeded them on the newly habitable planets?
Too many speculations. Need more input!

yeah I mean the Jardaan...sorry . Havent touched the game since the 1st patch lol so my memory isn't the greatest .
That would be kinda a messed up way to save a specie...
the angara were made , and they have..the sun in them or something . They can even survive on an icy planet that most other specie will have a hard time with .
Therefor , them being endangered and saved by the Jaardan doesn't fit . And making template of them tell another story .
Homewhever , the way I saw that last message about that planet we find ..it tell me that the Jaardan were dealing with something or someone horrible that may have forced their extinction (which I doubt they are) , or their exile .
The way I see it , it seemed that the Jaardan were like architect of life . They made monolith to make words habitable . Then they made the Angara to add to the worlds . Maybe the angara were just the 1st specie they made and they were planning on making different ones later but never had a chance .
Something or someone forced their hands . could be the Kett . even the Kett origin is weird (and isn't) . Make you wonder the 1st being to steal DNA..what he looked like before he did . And why did he do that ? was their idealogy always like this ?
And more important , the surprising part is considering how they claim they have been around for so long...they never perfected the 'infection/merge' thing they did . I refer as to how some Angara still remembered stuff once changed . The kett obsessed with perfection yet never got around to do something about that after all this time ?
I would think that the reason why they didn't , maybe the original kett may have been a defective creation of the Jardaan maybe that was cast away and without being watched over..eventually got out of control (taking over others making more kett) , and come back ?
of course that doesnt fit with the archon , but he was a disposible archon . clearly he is just a pawn in a bigger web .
but if this become true , then we are back..to...Leviathan vs its own creation lol again .

so they wanted their own world in the end ? something made by them for them .
when I think about the angara , I think : a) did something went around destroying the sun they need ? b) did the Jardaan do more then create template ? were they the one behind the angara being able to remember past life ? or was it an abilitie they had and why the Jardaan believed the way to 'save' them was worth it....

Don't know if it is a messed up way to save a species. Imagine if you could take an endangered species from earth, move them to a different, habitable planet where poachers wouldn't be able to reach them? Maybe the jardaan did something similar to the angaran? Whoever drove the jardaan out of the Heleus cluster could also have been after the angaran. As far as the geth building a megastructure like Meridian is concerned. I wrote about this a few posts back. They were in the process of building a megastructure that could house every existent geth program. This would be really efficient for the geth. As to why the angaran remember certain things. Maybe it is similar to those tankbred krogan being fed information? No idea if the jardaan have long lifespans, but I suppose that doesn't really matter? Could be done over several generations as well. I think it's because it would be the most efficient way to conserve energy and/or maintain/control the climate inside Meridian. Ah but thats not what the Jardaan did . They didnt take the last few angara and put them somewhere safe to repopulate . They made templates , empty shells......thats not the same thing at all . Its not even like cloning .
A clone doesnt have the memory of the original . So how the hell some Angara still remember past life from being a template ?
As for if its ethical.....thats a hard question to find an answer . Because in the end , the real question isnt if it is ethiqual..but if the purpose was .
as for your real life exemple , I believe that hiding endangered animals just make a hunter more thirsty to hunt . Get ride of the hunter and none has to fear to be free .
Or their technology . If someone like the kett made the world unhabitable....any specie would end up dead . Maybe thats what happen to the Anagara and why the Jardaan started making them again . Remember that the archon found out that the Vault can be used to make world habitable..and can also be used to make them unhabitable .
The meridian seemed to be the 'cataclyst' between the Vault .
If they make a sequel , I hope the Jardaan come back . And scold the new specie for stealing their toys! LOL
