ladyaly : real progress then Those tasks for Charon were fun. I didn't imagine him to be such a caring person. Kassandra's expressions really look spot on in those screenshots. I loved the little wordplay they did with Cerberos btw. I also expected the Underworld to be dark and gloomy, but I mostly find it a yucky colour variation of gloomy. So, the queue in front of the bathroom is a thing in the Underworld too then huh?

So, the queue in front of the bathroom is a thing in the Underworld too then huh? .. good one ! So there is one thing I still think about after finish the thing ( btw. the last fight is real a pain in the ass .... ) Brasidas ... I decided his fate as my Kass would, but if it would be me I'm not sure. Yes it was War and it wasn't sure his intention, for me is the whole situation murder, though. He was the General - why a little village burn to the ground ? In his position he could had stopp it, stopp and prevent a massacre he was also a part in it. What did you think about ?

ladyaly : I guess it shows how little we know about Brasidas... All this time we thought he was an honourable man. Kassandra certainly thought he was... And then it turns out he has a really dark stain colouring his past. Nonetheless my Kass did feel like he deserved to go to Elysium, because to her that Brasidas no longer existed. But despite that, in my playthrough, Brasidas decided to stay in the Underworld.
What makes it sad is that nothing Brasidas did later on in his life could redeem him. So it seems that once you take a wrong turn in life nothing you do will make it possible for you to go to Elysium.
Btw I did think the whole massacre was oddly out of character for Brasidas.

I think Spoiler isn't necessary anymore GroundSquirrelYou are right and its just sad but true - War has never ever a winner. Not so sure about the out of character thing - the Spartans did only care about honor. Anf if that meant to raise a little village to the ground - well. The Wolf loved Kass and Alexios and still the honor allowed him to "murder" the kids. My Kass was still sure about Brasidas, maybe some guilt left in her that she couldn't help him against Deimos. He should go to Elysium, Brasidas said yes and what Hades then did was cruel and very clever, too. Since you maybe play it a second time I can only advise -- let Brasidas go to Elysium ...

ladyaly : Maybe you are right about spoiler tags not being necessary anymore. Guess I couldn't help it though. I don't know... to me it felt out of character since protecting the innocent seemed like a really important thing to Brasidas. That point was already stressed when you meet him for the first time at the Monger's warehouse and he's worried about people being trapped inside in the fire. Obviously Brasidas has changed over the years, which was why my Kassandra vouched for him to go to Elysium. Yet, in my playthrough Brasidas chooses to stay. I've no idea what I should have done for him to be sent to Elysium. Btw I'm in Euboa in my current playthrough and I'm doing the "Dagger to the Heart" quest. I'm at the part where you have to help the couple who are running the theatre, but for some reason I can't talk to the Dagger associate. The only options I have are to knock him down or assassinate him. It's not a really big deal, since the game forces you to kill him anyway, but still, it's odd that it's not possible to have that conversation with him. In regards to the theatre couple: did anyone manage to save both of them? I managed in my first playthrough through trial and error basically. I couldn't stand having to choose who lives or dies, so I reloaded and went in attacking the Dagger associates before the conversation triggered. I think it took me two tries to get both of the couple to live I really like that the game offers a solution to a problem even if it's not quite obvious. Also I like having a pet in this game, but if you're trying to play this game as stealthily as possible they can really get in the way. Sometimes it's necessary to draw a guard's attention, but whistling doesn't work because he's too far away and there aren't any places where you can take cover to get closer. So the only way to attract his attention is to make him see you, then run away and hide hoping he'll have lost track of you and that you can now draw his attention again by whistling.
Sadly the moment you draw the guard's attention by making him see you triggers the tamed animal to attack (and kill) him. Maybe I'll make a post on the Ubisoft forum. It would be nice if they could make it so that you can send off your animal companion temporarily instead of permanently. My leopard companion seems enormous in this particular shot btw.

Haven't made much progress in my current playthrough, because of the weather being nice and hot, but at least a little bit. Currently in Boeotia to see good ol' Stentor again So I finished that "Dagger" quest in Euboa/Skyros. The outcome of that quest in this playthrough didn't really change from my first playthrough. The Dagger died once more. It's a funny quest though. Telling Agapios that his brother is no longer the person he used to know and can't be saved and meanwhile my Kass will do anything to save her brother. At least that is how I think it will end up again in my current playthrough. Don't feel that there's much point to changing that. I think the only significant change I made in this playthrough is killing the Monger in the cave instead of the theater. I'd like to part with Brasidas on good terms in this playthrough at least. It's kinda sad that he isn't a romance option. I really would have liked to see a couple more missions working with him too. Btw didn't write about this before, but after the last game update Ikaros now seems to be doing more damage when you use him to harass an enemy. Much better!

Oh - good you mentioned this with Ikaros. I doubted myself about - This shot with the pet is awesome and sort of weird, too Kass is so small ! I never managed to save the couple - even with killing the Dagger. But I admitt i was far to lazy to go back and forth and try it out I wonder what will happen to Layla - I think she isn't prepared to take the burden and the staff, nor is she the Character to do so. Far to stubborn and in a maniac fashion.

ladyaly : Things are a lot easier now. Have Ikaros hit the elite enemies a few times and then lure them in and knock them down. It was always annoying when they got up again and the fighting that followed alerted more enemies. It's a pretty weird perspective thing. Lost my leopard companion now, which is kinda sad. And they're not very common in the game sadly.
Here's another one where the leopard looks like it's of a more decent size, but now the brute in the front looks enormous. Also you really want to keep your hands off Kass and I'm sure the big guy knows it, but his stupid mate is, well, stupid The trick to saving the couple was to attack those Dagger cronies from a distance, so that the cutscene doesn't trigger. Then you have to protect the couple and hope they don't die during the fight. I suppose the little perfectionist in my just had to try and save them both lol I'm not sure what to think of Layla either. Obviously she has a brilliant mind, but being the new keeper of the staff surely takes more than that? Pythagoras was brilliant, but his mind was corrupted by the staff too. I feel like Layla lacks lots of preparation, where Kassandra was probably trained for all of this from the moment she could walk. Mind you, I still haven't played the Origins game, but I wonder if that is going to change my opinion about Layla. She needs more background in my opinion. Btw I just thought that if Myrinne knew about Kassandra's destiny did she tell Nikolaus? If she did tell Nikolaus then it puts him in a whole different light when he threw Kassandra off the cliff.

I agree completely about Layla. I think she is al ready on the edge of mind corruption after her actions against her Doc-friend. Btw.: I didn't play Origins neither, yet. After playing Ac III I was pretty fed up with the other AC games. Still its true - we know very little about Layla's background. Its a good question about Myrinne - far as I remember she told Nikolaos about the father of her children. But I think she didn't know about the staff or the role this thing plays in Kassandras or Alexios life. I'm not even sure she did really know about Pythagoras whereabouts. I found some screenshots from other protagonists I like

ladyaly : Cool screenshots once again I love the one with Phoibe, because it was so nice to get some closure there. I really liked how that was handled in the DLC. I agree that it is unclear that Myrinne knew about the staff, but she knew Pythagoras was on Thera. She didn't send Kassandra to go and see him there if she didn't know and not without a reason either. I think Myrinne knew that Kassandra had a task to fulfill there, but what that task was she may not have known.

Still nothing from Tup . I hope it's because he's tired of this place and not something unthinkable. I really wish people would just leave a message if they planned on disappearing instead of making others worry. Btw isn't it kinda odd to worry about people you hardly even know? Well... Things have been a bit busy and I did have that two week trip to Japan and then things kinda went like this. I'm totally and completely alive. Haven't made any progress in AC for months actually. LOL.
By the way, that trip went really well. Never missed any train and always got off at the right station. On top of that I did see Mount Fuji numerous times. Went from Tokyo to Kyoto and back using shinkansen and did some longer trips from Tokyo (like Hakone). Golden week and extra long holiday was quite something though... There was so much people in Kyoto.

Unfortunately it was a bit hazy. Couldn't get a proper shot when I was on shinkansen (didn't have the window seat - should have gone between the carts to take one). Did see pretty much what I wanted in Kyoto. Ashikaga flower park would have been nice "near" Tokyo but the wisteria weren't in full bloom so skipped that (and it would have been quite long trip).
Gotta say, I was impressed how well Huawei P30 handles any situation really. Tele and wide angle cameras were very helpful. Obviously no match to to main camera but that tele was really handy when trying to snap Fuji for example.

Even more nice photos It looks really peaceful. I suppose you still have multiple reasons to go back there some time Currently playing the last Lost Tales episode. Haven't made much progress with that one though. I guess I don't want it to be over heh.
