ladyaly: Damn, that is really shitty Are there other people who have encountered that bug? Currently put 210 hours in the game myself, but even after 105 hours I don't think I'd feel like starting all over again either in the hope of not encountering that bug again. Usually those games end up on the shelf and I'd never play them again

Better get good curtains when working night shifts during the summer then. Glad you haven't had any issues with updating to the latest driver. Maybe my PC is starting to have issues heh. Two weeks ago I thought I'd do a BIOS upgrade. Now, my motherboard comes with this handy USB BIOS Flashback button, which I've used before when I built the PC and back then it worked like a charm. Except now it didn't. I guess in the old days I would have been doomed, but thankfully it's 2018. In the end I still had it updated, but by doing it manually through BIOS. PC's... never a dull moment. And I know, some people don't recommend updating those kind of things, but I guess sometimes I just like to tinker. 80% of the main story done now and I noticed that the new DLC has just been installed. I'd better get moving Good curtains are a must when it's summer. When it's winter though...
Heh, my mobo, cpu and ram combo is now almost seven years old. Still going strong solidly (even with 4,4 GHz overclock). It was great buy at the time and ages extremely well (I've had many different graphics cards during thing time though). Though, next year I think I'll upgrade to Ryzen 3.
I hope that I don't get any show stopper bugs.
Noticed this:
Former Dragon Age boss Mike Laidlaw joins Assassin's Creed Odyssey studio

A lot have the bug that other important persons die and you aren't able to complete the game

ladyaly : Makes you wish there was Gibbed for Assassin's Creed Odyssey and you could just flag whether an NPC is dead or alive. I hope Ubisoft gets their butt in gear and fixes it soon. I realize there are massive amounts of bugs to be fixed with a game this size, but you'd think something that breaks the main story would have top priority.

I have, CPU multiple times. When I switched from MX-4 to using Gelid GC Extreme I haven't re-pasted the CPU though. It seems to work great even when it ages. I have re-pasted the GPU too. I also installed the additional thermal pads offered by EVGA to improve the cooling and I re-pasted it with GC Extreme too.
You know... I was thinking the same thing.

Tup : I never even considered reapplying thermal paste to the GPU. Feeling a bit iffy about doing that, but I might try it when I have a more accute reason for doing that. So far I think the thermal paste is still doing its job nicely. I don't think there's been much of change to the core temperatures since I built my PC two years ago. In fact it was two years ago today when I built it, so I guess I should celebrate it with a beer or something Currently at 89% progress with the game. EEK! I still kinda don't want the main story to end. So maybe I should deal with one of the legendary creatures first...

ladyaly : Hmmm... I wonder what the new DA will bring us. I'm guessing it will still be a while before that one gets released. I guess in a way restarting ACO isn't exactly punishment. You could even make the decision to play as Alexios I decided to rip off the bandaid and continue with the main story tonight. Here's to hoping it will be free of bugs and that all the decisions I've made will lead to my preferred ending.

I hope that's not because you stopped playing the game
Hmmm... it seems like everything in that game is in first person. Not much of a fan of that to be honest.

Tup mmmh - the game looks not bad at all, but first person isn't my thing exactly. I just love to see my character doing the stuff. GroundSquirrel I think to play Alxios is exactly what I intend to do. The game has for me get a deep bump after this incredible bug, though .... and the unresponsive support <.< Not even EA did let me after a ticket wait for weeks in the loop without responsing.

ladyaly : At least you'll be able to let us know what evil Kass is like I guess that from an actor's point of view it must have been a lot of fun to be able to play both sides of the story. It's nice to see the (subtle)differences in the scenes (I watched 3 or 4 scenes on YouTube to compare), even though both actors are bound by the same scene it still gives somewhat of a different dynamic to it all. I'm sorry that in this case the support has been letting you down. Especially for a bug with such huge implications. But at least they could give you some kind of response. Even a message that says: "We have no idea what's going on here." would be better than nothing at all. If the problem is that they're short-staffed: I'm available ~o~o~o~
Anyway, as far as my playthrough is concerned: I finished the main story last night!!! I can't really spoil things, but I did get the ending I hoped I would get, which is of course the one where everyone dies. Just kidding! I really loved the story and I'm so glad that Kass still has many things left on her to do list, because I can't say goodbye just yet. There are still more cultists to hunt, islands to visit, viewpoints to synchronize and two more mythical creatures to beat. And of course there's the DLC and those Lost Tales stories. I haven't even started The Blind King DLC which was included with the collectors edition. That one will probably be the first thing I'll play once I deal with those remaining cultists.
If there wasn't so much left to do I definitely would have started a new playthrough. And I'd seriously consider giving it a go as Alexios just to see how Kassandra handles herself as Deimos.

Heh, my main progress is at 36%. Level 32 at the moment. I should just progress but I have somewhat OCD keeping my gear up to date. Constantly running out of resources. :/
About the temperature monitoring, in practice:
I'm not going to ruin my gaming immersion with OSD monitoring. This does the job well though.

Cool shots again, Tup . Should I ever move again, I'll ask Kass to help me move the heavy stuff. She'd be really good at that it seems heh. Oh, I'm not ruining my gaming immersion with OSD monitoring. I just have a program I can run in the background that registers minimum/maximum temperature, fan speeds, voltages etc. It doesn't even run permanently. I just ran it the other day after that Nvidia driver update had gone wrong to see if there was anything out of the ordinary with my system. I've hunted a couple more cultists and decided to see what The Blind King DLC was about. In short: I thought it was a bit disappointing. It sends you to a number of locations in the game, but since I already visited all of those locations during my playthrough it turned out to be one of those quests you've already finished before you even got started. Oh well.

I don't have the season pass and will not buy unless it's discounted. It's a gamble buying it right now. Buying the DLCs individually isn't worth it. Maybe they discount the season pass later this month... Did some sailing. Also one cultist less causing issues.
