It sure looks flashy. Not entirely sure it's my kind of game, but it's at least entirely single player.

We will surely see. I would like to have the option to play a female Jedi , but maybe they wont open all the cards yet. Im not sure if I will play the game - but it looks sure not bad so far.

From what I've seen/read you're only able to play as the character you see in the trailer.
They could have at least shown if there was an option to play as a female character. Might help with the pre-order sales?

No option to play as a female character. Poor Is it just me or is the walking/running animation a bit off? Hopefully that is something they'll fix?

I do not see the walk / running animation as off tbh. But its also very early stage - I assume there will be still a lot of work . The critics for what they showed off so far are very good, though.
And yes .. the only things what ticks me off is that it seems to have no option to play as a female Jedi. Sadly -

I read some things on german sides now. Some points interesting for me following 1.) The story is settled after Rogue One - which I consider as one of the best Star Wars Movies 2.) The game is strongly focused on the story 3.) You can't play different ways - its linear story line 4.) I hope Respawn can make in the 5 month 'til release the things right. 5.) I wont pre order it. I'll wait 'til the reviews are out and decide then. www.gameinformer.com/2019/06/08/the-metroid-and-dark-souls-inspirations-of-star-wars-jedi-fallen-orderI am a Star Wars fan since the beginning - but I was dieing as they let Han Solo die ...He was MY Hero in young age. It did break my heart and the love of the Star Was Movies. Rogue One managed to get a bit of the old Star Wars feeling back, though. To describe my anticipation for this game = Excited and still very sceptical

I think I only saw 4 of the Star Wars movies, which is odd considering that I do like science fiction. The last one I saw was The Force Awakens and a long time before that The Phantom Menace, which was pretty horrible in my opinion. I'm pretty sure that one put me off from watching any other Star Wars movie until The Force Awakens that is. That one was okay at least. Fingers crossed that the game will turn out to be a great one for you. I suppose it is wise these days to not pre-order the game, although I still can't help it and do it anyway I pre-ordered A Plague Tale: Innocence even though I knew I wasn't going to have the time to play it yet, but I don't know... since it came from an independent publisher... And of course I pre-ordered AC: Odyssey, which was totally on a whim, and a bit of a risk since I never even finished the other AC games I own. But since I've now clocked 600+ hours into this it's safe to say it was worth the money heh. Reviews don't always mean anything. I found that there are plenty of people who can burn down a game to the ground, while I still love it (ME: Andromeda for example) It always sucks when they kill off your favourite character

Today I did read a pre-view of the Game. One of the most popular german Star Wars Sides got the offer to play the game.
They are very very excited for the release now. Appealing Graphics, awesome and challenging figths, learning curves ! You're not a superhero Jedi who slaughters with ease through the Galaxy - you have to learn to be a Jedi. About the story = made them excited and curious after some hours of gameplay. They want to continue and know where it leads. For me this is a good sign for the game.
Still you have to play as a male - but I think more and more I'll buy the game.

ladyaly: looks like you'll be playing something new then soon? It's going to be released next month, right? Personally, I get a little bit scared when I read about "challenging fights". Eek! Yesterday I finally started my playthrough of A Plague Tale: Innocence. Will make a post about this one soon.

Started the Game and I have to admitt - it gives you the real Star Wars feeling Graphics are nice, the guy isn't a superhero, combat is fluid, no bugs so far, Characters seeming to have to tell stories. Downside is = no possibility to save on your own. Its Auotsaving but only on the so called Meditation points, which are plenty of them on every planet. If you log out before reaching the next save point - you start again from the last. No possibility for fast travel either. But if you know this you choose well the time to log out - but you have a lot of hit, run, jump and climb to do - and some puzzles to solve All in all I would give the game 8.5 from 10 points. Metacritic = official 90 - pretty high Metascore from all sites together around 84 first impressions first heavy fight - rescue is already coming Cal with a Jedi instrument and to this little guy I did fall immediate in love - BD-1
