I've been playing this for about 3 weeks now and, I finally caved in because of one of my colleagues who has been playing it a number of times kept pushing me to give it a try. So here I am It's definitely no Mass Effect, but I am enjoying it. I'm told the main story is a bit short, but there are lots of things to keep me from making progress with that anyway "Oooh another building I can enter. Let's see what's in there?" "Oooh, I bought more concrete. Let's expand my base." "Let's decorate my apartment some more!" Guess baby Shaun will just have to wait a bit longer for mommy to find him Despite that the game does have some annoyances too, but I can look over them. Although it can get pretty frustrating having to tell Cait 4 times to pick a lock Sharing some pictures of my first FO4 character who I've named after my first Mass Effect character: Renée...

It's a brahmin. One that some of those traders use to haul their merchandise around.

Can't get rid of the roof. Either way, continued playing and things went back to normal again. Still, it was funny seeing it up there

So I've pretty much finished the game... It only took me close to three months to finish the main story, so it's safe to assume that I've enjoyed this game That said... I don't think another playthrough would take me that long. I'd be dealing less with the distracting quests (building settlements and doing all the non-main story related quests) as they get rather repetitive and just focus on making different decisions regarding the main story. This playthrough I ended up siding with the Railroad faction, which is pretty much the "paragon" choice in this game I suppose. So I guess the downside of this game is that the main story is rather short. Would have liked to see a bit more depth to some of the NPC's/companions. Some have a really great backstory, like Nick Valentine (!), MacCready and Cait? But not so much on Piper and I suppose Curie could have been worked out a little bit better. I didn't even take Strong along as a companion. The other downside is that I haven't visited every place on the map, which is a shame I suppose. Many times you get sent to the same places over and over again even though there are plenty of places that you haven't visited before. Couldn't this have been done better? At this point I can't be bothered trying to figure out where I haven't been before. But still... It would have been nice if you had at least seen all the places on the map by the time you finish the main story. Wondering what to play next... Still have that Assassin's Creed Black Flag game on my HD which I d/l for free because of promotion. But I'm also toying with the idea of getting Fallout New Vegas, since that setting is more of my cup of tea. Decisions... decisions... Guess I'll miss my character Renée. (gave her a new haircut too in the end heh)

Fallout New Vegas is rather highly rated game, made my Obsidian. I haven't played it but I like Obisidan's work. Assassin's Creed Black Flag is definitely a nice game.

So I've read, which is why I'm willing to give it a try. Also... I tried playing AC Black Flag a bit last night, but so far I'm not really convinced I should continue with it Edit: installing Fallout New Vegas as I write this. 20 euros for the Ultimate Edition isn't bad I guess.
