ladyaly : I understand your reasoning too you know. I agree that it’s not worth to get all stressed about this when there are enough other matters on your plate already. I wouldn’t really say I’m that hotblooded about it though Yes, the whole ordeal did grab my attention and I actually made an effort to write 3 replies to posts on Ubisoft’s forum to at least voice my opinion about it (never posted on there before). And I wrote them in a constructive manner too, I think. And that’s it. I’ve had my say and pleaded that Ubisoft at least changed it so that everyone could have their peace with it. Sadly the “blink and you’ll miss them” changes Ubisoft have made are only causing more of a rift between people, so I’m no longer trying to stay completely updated with what is going on. I don’t need all that stress either. That said playing these games have helped to take my mind off a lot of things and with all the crap that’s going on in real life it would have been nice to actually see a game that I really love that doesn’t end with a lot of controversy like ME3 or is just abandoned by the developers (ME:A). I’m glad you and Tup are at least still reading my rants posts. It’d be rather lonely without that. Btw I hope you’re not one of those social justice warriors who think that piano’s are racist because there are more white keys than there are black keys

GroundSquirrel I'm gaming with the same reason as you Its just good to keep your mind occupied with things you like. And *LOL* I'm not one of them - but helping peeps if you can, especially with stuff you are good with ( like dealing with authoritys ) to actually prevent injustice feels good. But with time you have to be very carefully how much you can handle, or you burnout faster then a candle made from paper.

ladyaly: Heh I suck at dealing with authorities. Then again I usually try to avoid them I'm not much of a people person anyway. Injustice sucks though. That and not being a people person is one of the reasons why I decided to at least have my say about the DLC at the Ubisoft forum. And you don't have to tell me about burning out. Sadly I know all about that.

Tup I'm not really surprised about Anthem GroundSquirrel I see your point, but *shrugs* I don't really care. This Major Gameplay Enterprises doing as they please - but Ubisoft at least tried to make it right. If I would bother about any of the promises not fullfilled - I guess I would lose the fun to play. You sound so upset, did this realy offend you personally ? And in my play I could just say good bye ( if I remember right). Maybe you remember the time Dragon Age Origins came out - the outcry that gay is even possible in a sex scene- AND why they didn't go further and gave them the full right as the hetero had and so on. It could be even called rassistic because elves never could be King/Queen in the end - or Mages .... On Stream some players saying its offending for USA/Trump - about some marks like *lets make Sparta great again* Nowadays the crowd is complaining about everything and anyone is also always insulted. SO - yes - call me an ignorant idiot - but I really wont care. I try a game and either I have fun with or not-simple as that. With the new game+ I'll probably wait 'til the story really ends. But nice they did implant it now Oh - did I mention I really love those nights in AC ? Anthem's Metacritic score is a solid 60. Oh EA.... They ruin every studio they buy.
I don't care either really. In the end it's their piece of story. Do they have to cater every single outcome? But yeah, I don't care and I don't see that as a big thing. That being said since they did make the game full of choices they should have seen it coming. They should have done just something else to avoid this situation entirely.
I should continue my play through....

Tup : I currently have no idea where you are in your play through. I guess the only thing I'll miss out on with Anthem is some pretty interesting voice actors. I noticed Annie Wersching is part of the cast. I thought she really kicked ass along Kiefer Sutherland on Season 7 of 24. Oh well... Boo Anthem! And, no Ubisoft shouldn't have to cater to every outcome, but they should have kept their promise... Meanwhile I noticed that they fixed Aspasia's eyebrow problem. They looked pretty horrendous before in this cutscene. Speaking of cutscenes: the one the next screenshot is from is probably my favourite cutscene in the whole game. Not sure you've made it past this point yet, Tup , so I'll just post one that doesn't really spoil anything. I also think that the version with Alexios doesn't hold a candle to this one. There's just so much more emotion in this version of the cutscene. Still so impressed with the day/night cycle in game. Although sometimes it doesn't always work out that nicely when recording a scene. Would have loved the option to meditate till a certain time of day, like in Witcher 3.

GroundSquirrel Yes I did finish it, too. Compared to the Main Game the DLC feeling a little bit rushed - and some decisions they made are infact really questionable. I will finish the last DLC this week and then start a NewGame+ playing finally Alexios. Nice screenshots as always Curiosity Suspicion

ladyaly : Thanks. Nice screenshots from you there as well. The "Curiosity" one makes me want to scream: "DON'T TOUCH THE PYRAMID!" And the "Suspicion" one could have the subtitle "Hmmm... I wonder if I left the stove on" heh. I think I'll wait till the last DLC is over and done with before starting a NG+ as Alexios. Continuing my current Kassandra playthrough for the time being. Still discovering new things in my current playthrough, which is pretty cool. If I do the playthrough with Alexios I'm afraid I won't be discovering many new things since that will be more like a speedrun. I noticed the Ubisoft store has the Gold Edition of AC Origins on sale now (€27 instead of €89.99 now) One of my colleagues at work was really enthusiastic about it too, and since ancient Egypt is also pretty interesting I ended up getting that one too.

GroundSquirrel I guess I'll buy that one as well I ended up 98 % with Kassandra - I suppose I did not help Athenian General killing Spartan Polemarchs ;P Maybe I go back and try to figure it out. Or it is about not discovering ALL places on the map. Then I had a huge laughter starting the NG+. I watched the beautiful opening scene with Ikaros - and on the roof at home in Kephallonia did sit Kass O_O. Then she/he did start talking with .... Alexios voice ! It needed only a restart to solve it, but heh - this was so so funny.

ladyaly: My playthrough was 100%. I only partly helped that Athenian commander. I think it has more to do with finishing the main story, dealing with all the cultists, visiting all the locations on the map and maybe synchronising all the viewpoints? I understand that the latest update gave us a couple more viewpoints, but I don't think they count as Uplay still states that the main progression is 100%. I'm not sure if the character quests count either. Kassandra sounding like Alexios must have been really weird and yeah, funny

GroundSquirrel I'm for sure missed some locations. Underwater stuff, caves, viewpoints. Quests all done beside the Athenian commander thing - well I guess all together is the lacking 2 % First Alexios shot

ladyaly: Nice shot. I think I like him better with the hood. How is your playthrough faring so far? Are you missing Kassandra already or do you feel like you should have played as Alexios sooner? Read today that Melissanthi has been nominated for a BAFTA Games Award. Well deserved

GroundSquirrel He is still on Kephallonia. I like him so far, but Kassandra's voice and lines are much more pointed and emotional. So - yes I miss her a little bit. I guess she will be a badass *Deimos* I hope she gets the award. Its one of the best voice actors I know - only Jennifer Hale is probably better. For me Hale is the best of all

ladyaly : I hope she wins too. She can't beat the list of credits Hale has I know, but she is doing a damn good job as Kassandra. It will be fun to see her as Deimos. No doubt it was a lot of fun for the actors to be able to play both parts. Trying to sort out the mess that is my screenshots folder, which is a lot easier now that I finally found out that it is possible to batch rename files A couple more Photo Mode shots from Paros this time: Saw the trees and I just had to see if it was possible to climb And a couple of other random shots:
Knocking down enemies has become Kassandra's specialty
EDIT: Just encountered a fun bug. Currently on Mykonos where I had to follow Kyra. Followed her to an Athenian camp and dealt with all the Athenians there, but the game still says I have to follow her and she will no longer move Reloading the last save didn't help either. I solved it by moving on to the Spartan camp without Kyra, since I figured that that was going to be the final destination.

Just found this cool thing: a tiny little insight on Melissanthi's and Elias Toufexis performance. It's part of the scene on the cliff where Kassandra meets Nikolaos again...
