Didn't see the entire Bethesda showcase yet, but it seemed like an interesting game when it was announced. Fingers crossed!

Did manage to play a bit of Starfield this weekend. A bit of the main quest, but mostly doing side quests to level up a bit and earn some credits. Haven’t experienced any major bugs so far. Only one teeny tiny one: sometimes, after you transition from one area to another, (after using an elevator, door or exiting your ship for instance) your character gets stuck and can’t move forward. Just a step backwards or to the side will solve that pretty quickly though. You can use fast travel to get around. Provided you’ve been to the location before. And at least they got rid of your weapons or gear breaking down and having to fix that constantly. On occasion you may have to repair your ship. But I guess I can live with that for now. Oh and do make sure to put your space suit on before doing so, because when fast traveling to a location with no atmosphere is not very good for your health Some screenshots:

I more or less finished Starfield… Without spoiling too much of it...
There are plenty of things I like about about it, but at some point exploring the universe is getting rather repetitive as well...
Overall the side quests/faction quests are really well done and immersive though. But the decisions you make during these quests don’t seem to really bite you back in the end. These long side quests/faction quests pretty much only become clear in the first part of the game. Why not stumble upon such a long side quest after visiting a far away planet? It’d give you more of an incentive to travel to each and every planet!
Another downside is that there’s a lot of leveling up to do if you want to build your own ships or outposts and even then you have to complete rank challenges to acquire the rank you need to have, for example, more crew on your ship, fly a bigger ship or build an outpost and have it managed.
At some point I obtained a new ship, but I couldn’t fly it unless I got more skill points and completed more rank challenges to upgrade my piloting rank… By the time I finished the main quest I could finally pick up the new ship and fly it, which made having the new ship seem pointless. Bit of a disappointment.
At least you no longer have to repair your weapons all the time as was the case in other Bethesda games. Trading is a pain in the behind, because traders only have 5000 credits worth to spend on trading. It’s less in civilian outposts on planets.
Overall, the main story is okay though.
Oh and you know my pet peeve about main characters with no voice actor… The ending pretty much showed exactly what I missed...
