I thought I’d make a separate topic for this game, because I think it deserves one. I’ll try not to spoil anything related to the story by using spoiler tags and I know some people are still waiting before they can play. Currently, I’ve played for about 15 hours. Just so you know: not in one sitting I’ve finished the Introduction episode of the game. That alone took me about 10 hours, because of doing all the sidequests and at first I didn’t have a clue on where to go, so I was running around aimlessly. Got the hang of it now though. I guess I’m well into the 2nd episode. The bugs I’ve encountered so far are few. Unless you count flies in the game itself as well There was one in the beginning where Kassandra wouldn’t get moving. And later on I had an issue with knocking down someone so I could recruit them. 12 hours into the game I found out that by pressing M you can meditate, which will speed up the daytime/nighttime progress. I kinda wish I’d known about it sooner though. Other nice things to know: Not all enemies can be knocked down. Ikaros will sometimes help you when hunting animals for resources. In any case the story’s really catching, setting up Kassandra’s (or Alexios’) background quite nicely. The scene at the end of the first episode… It’s gonna be quite an odyssey!

I agree fully, the game is absolutely awesome - I found out Fast Travel and Meditation to late, too How do you like the epic sea battles and the big war battles between Spartans and Athens ? The Landscape is so stunning that I sometimes just run around and stare at all awestruck. Atm I have a big problem with the mainquest and stuck. AFter finish it I do not get the progress nor can I find the person I need to talk for the progress. Made a request in the Forum about and hope this evening someone found a solution. Maybe I try a earlier safe and run the quest again. Beside the stuck and this one above I had no problems. The game is running smoothly. Seems a lot of hardcore AC fans aren't pleased with the game, though and critisize it harshly.... I am glad I never played something of the series before. SO I am really happy with the game I will post 1 or 2 screenshots later Landscapes are downright gorgeous

According to what I've read it's a bit different than typical AC game. Not sure if it's a good or bad thing. I've played most of them and I'm a semi fan of the series. I quite liked the original story line that ended in Revelations - it was coherent story telling, after that not really.

ladyaly : I hope you find out what the problem is? Oh the number of times I'm standing there admiring the landscape... and then I get attacked by a bunch of wolves lol Btw which armor is your Kassandra sporting? It looks nice I didn't read all of the critiques, but some of them are hillarious. Like the one about being able to choose a female hero. Or the fact that you can now make choices in your game. Heck, if you don't like making choices just keep picking option 1 or something. How old are these people even? Maybe some of the criticism is valid, but I can't tell since I never finished any of the previous games. So yeah, I understand that Ubisoft will lose some old customers, but on the other hand they gained new ones too. I really love this game Tup : maybe it helps to not compare Odyssey to the other games and just enjoy the story on its own.

GroundSquirrel Yes - atleast I solved it. I did go back to the first meeting with that special person - means an earlier safe, did also chose a more violent approach and got finally the quests for progress. The story gets more and more breathtaking and mysterious. Also the sidequests are pretty neat. I dont care what others say- its far the best game I played since a while ! I did fell in love to the Dusk Herald Garment and Band of Dusk waist. I will upgrade them as long as possible, but I suppose as great as it looks it will not reach the later game Tup I can only agree with GroundSquirrel = I guess its best to play it with a different view and not compare to the previous games of the series.

I really like that it's possible to upgrade your armor too.
If it keeps up it will almost be right on par with Mass Effect for me.

Woohoo!!! Too bad ladyaly and I don't get any commission. Oh and please don't blame us if you don't like the game Btw Kassandra sometimes reminds me of Sandra Bullock.

Noice, there's a photo mode in this too. Not sure which character to play. By the way, it looks like Ubisoft bested BioWare...

Tup : Here's to hoping you're having fun. Oh and I agree with ladyaly : Pick Kassandra The photo mode is nice indeed. Although I wish there was a way of disabling the screenshots from appearing on the map. Also they're not only your photos appearing on there. There are screenshots made by others too. It seems there are only a limited number of screenshot markers on the map, but I'm worried they might be a bit cluttering if they're near a marker of another point of interest?

GroundSquirrel you can disable the taken fotos in the map with F3, or chose only to see yours. For me it is in the right down corner

Ah! Thanks ladyaly At first I thought I was only able to hide each seperate photo. Can't believe I didn't notice the option to display all photos, friend photos or my photos. Okay, maybe I can by blaming it on the early shifts and me not being a morning person
