Since the topic TV shows came up in the ME:Andromeda game progress thread and since the thread is cluttered as it is I thought I'd start a thread in here.
Post your favourite TV shows you're currently watching. And post a little description of it in case someone hasn't done so already or if you think it could use a little more info
Also, post your all-time favourite TV show (if you could only pick one TV show that is).
Try not to post any spoilers.
Shows I'm currently watching:
Blindspot (season 3)
A woman, whose body is covered in tattoos is found in Times Square. She has no recollection about who she is and her past. One of the tattoos on her body points to an FBI agent.
The FBI discovers that her tattoos are all clues to crimes to be solved.
Started watching this because it seemed interesting; There's a mystery to solve and it's got a kick-ass female lead character. Not just some damsel in distress needing to be saved by the Feds.
Star Trek Discovery (season 1)
It's Star Trek. Boldly going nowhere etc.
For some reason I haven't watched any of the Star Trek series other than the original one with William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. It's Sci-fi and it seems to have an interesting female lead character.
Started off a bit weak maybe, but seems to get better.
Show I'm watching that are now on hiatus:
Game of Thrones
A bunch of noble families fighting to rule Westeros from the Iron Throne.
It's fictional, reminds me of LOTR (because of how massive it is) and it's got dragons, giants and Jon Snow
The Expanse
Another Sci-fi show.
Humanity has colonized the solar system. A police detective in the belt is sent to investigate a missing woman. The X.O. of an ice-hauler and his crew are witness to an attack on their ship by craft believed to be from Mars. And a U.N. diplomat for Earth tries everything to prevent a war between Earth and Mars.
More sci-fi and interesting characters. Also based on a series of novels. I actually started reading the first one.
Westworld
A combination between a Western and Sci-fi.
A Wild West themed amusement park, intended for the rich, filled with robotic hosts, allows their visitors to live out their primal fantasies without fear of the consequences of their actions.
But then some of the hosts start to grow an artificial consciousness...
Artificial Intelligence interests me and it scares me lol
Especially when I read an article about Google's A.I., after having learned the basic rules of chess (no strategies), beating the world champion chess program in 4 hours.
The Walking Dead
Lots of zombies and people trying to survive. No guarantee that they will.
More post-apocalyptic stuff, so probably not for Tup
Started watching it because my co-worker was following it and it happened to be on Netflix. Sadly Netflix is a bit behind, since I'm now about 2 seasons behind
All-time favourite show:
It's really hard to pick just one...
Alias
A show about a student who is recruited to work as a field agent for SD-6, a black-ops division of the C.I.A., until one day she finds out that she is working for the enemy she thought she was fighting.
She ends up working as a double for the real C.I.A. in order to bring down SD-6.
It had it all. A great female lead character, drama, mystery, humor and action. Sometimes a bit absurd, almost comic book like sometimes, but still kept me coming back for more.
